Don’t face debt alone.

Dealing with money issues can sometimes be off-putting, but if you don’t understand how things like credit or mortgages work, you could end up losing out financially or getting yourself deep in debt.

You can visit our national website which will give you the information you need to make the right choices, including help to deal with your debt problems, how to avoid losing your home and how to get your finances back into shape.

Alternatively, you can get in contact with us by emailing advice@caew.org.uk or calling 0808 278 7887.

Citizens Advice Elmbridge West launches new website.

We are very excited to announce that we have launched our brand new website!

At Citizens Advice Elmbridge West, we are here to help everyone in need and were keen to reflect and engage with our local community by using familiar imagery throughout the site. Photographer Stuart Tree understood our brief perfectly and captured a gorgeous photo collection for us featuring the CAEW office and the areas of Walton, Weybridge and Hersham.

We would like to say a huge thanks to Stuart, we hope our site users love the pictures as much as we do! You can find Stuart’s website here and on social media @stuarttree.

Please take look around and familiarise yourself with our site. We would love to hear your feedback in order to improve the usability of the pages for you; our clients and partners. To leave feedback please email marketing@caew.org.uk.

Celebrating 80 years of Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice plays a vital role to people in Elmbridge. Providing independent, confidential, impartial and free advice and guidance about a wide range of issues, our staff and volunteers can make a huge difference to people’s lives.

Citizens Advice was founded on 4th September 1939; in the days after World War 2 broke out and 80 years later we are still helping people with complicated and intimidating problems.

Supporting the Local Community

Your local branch, Citizens Advice Elmbridge West, based at the Elmbridge Community Hub in Walton on Thames, supports the communities of Walton on Thames, Weybridge and Hersham and has been operational in the town since 1942.

Share Your Memories

Chief Executive of Citizen Advice Gillan Guy says, “It’s quite something that after being here for everyone for 80 years, the service remains free, confidential and impartial – something that is more important than ever for people in such uncertain times.”

In the run up to our 80th birthday celebrations we would love to hear from people in our local community, who have memories and stories of the Citizens Advice Service and how it has helped them.

Tell your story or share your pictures of Citizens Advice in Walton on Thames over the last 80 years, by calling us on 01932 248660 or by emailing our Community Fundraising Manager on faye.curtis-kay@caew.org.uk

We are planning a public celebration event in September in the week running up to Walton Heritage Day more details to follow.
